DOA5 Last Round Summer Festival Costumes

The unannounced and mysterious November DLC costume pack for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round (DOA5LR) is officially revealed and released today.

This new pack is called “Summer Festival Costumes”, which are actually floral-patterned Yukata for 17 female characters, including the guest character Naotora Ii from Samurai Warriors. However, costumes for Alpha-152 and the remaining female guest characters Mai Shiranui, Pai and Sarah are not included.

Yukata, a form of casual Kimono, is sort of the standard costume to wear for festivals in Japan, usually in Summer, hence the name of the pack. But Yukata can also be worn for other festive seasons, like in Autumn, which is the current season in Japan. Thus the pack is called “Happy Yukata Costumes” in Japan since it is no longer Summer there.

These Yukata costumes are released for PS4/ Xbox One/ PC (Steam). Individual costume is priced at US$2.99 (¥308) and the bundle set of all 17 costumes is US$19.49 (¥2099). All costumes in this pack are also destructible. As usual, PC version is only sold in pack and the destructible feature is not available.

This pack is also included in Season Pass 5 (SP5) and is the second last pack. Pass owners do not need to buy again.

The last DLC pack from SP5 due next month is the collaboration with AQUAPLUS (read more at Wikipedia). There will be 16 costumes from different Anime/game series under the Aquaplus label to conclude the DLC releases for this year.
