The new add-on character Mai Shiranui, her debut costumes and The King of Fighters (KOF) collaboration costumes for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round (DOA5LR) are all released as expected for PS4/ Xbox One, and even for PC (Steam), which previously did not have a release date. An update for the game, consists of system and balance changes, is also released and required to use the new contents.
As mentioned before, buying the new character alone will only include 2 default costumes, which means no unlockable ones. To add more costumes for Mai Shiranui, there is a debut costume set, but is a separate purchase.

The KOF costumes are for 6 female characters. There are actually only 3 different types of costumes in 2 variations each. Kasumi and Kokoro get the costumes of KOF character “Kasumi Todoh” in 1P and 2P colors respectively. Ayane and Hitomi get “Yuri Sakazaki” costumes, again in 1P/2P variations, and finally, Marie Rose and Honoka get the costumes of “Hinako Shijo”.
4 of the 6 costumes are destructible: Kasumi, Kokoro, Ayane and Hitomi, whereas Marie Rose and Honoka are not. Again, the destructible feature is not available for PC. The new character Mai Shiranui, her debut costumes and KOF costumes are all included in Season Pass 5 (SP5). Pass owners do not need to buy them again. The previous set of DLC costumes from SP5 is the Flower Bikinis released last month.

Next month is October, which means the DLC pack is the traditional fan-designed Halloween Costumes. This next set will have 35 costumes, so every character will get one except maybe Mai Shiranui, since she is the 36th character on the roster. There will be a live stream for DOA5LR during Tokyo Game Show at Koei Tecmo website on Friday, 16th September from 1:50pm to 2:35pm JST. During the stream, a preview of some Halloween Costumes will be shown.
