During the DOA Festival in July, Mai Shiranui (不知火 舞) from The King of Fighters (KOF) series was announced to be a new add-on character for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round (DOA5LR). Like the previous new character Naotora Ii before release, Mai Shiranui is now being tested on Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate Arcade (DOA5UA) at 3 locations in Japan.
Team NINJA also released her Japanese movelist (in PDF) on the DOA5UA official website, and her combo video, which can be viewed on top. Mai Shiranui will be released in September as a paid DLC character for DOA5LR, along with her 5 debut costumes (sold separately from character).
As reported earlier, monthly DLC for DOA5LR in September are the KOF collaboration costumes. At the end of the combo video, it shows that there will only be 3 different KOF costumes for 6 characters: Kasumi, Ayane, Hitomi, Kokoro, Marie Rose and Honoka. This is the smallest DLC mashup set with only 6 costumes.

[Updated 02 Sep] Mai Shiranui release date for PS4/ Xbox One is announced to be Tuesday, 13th September. The KOF mashup costumes should be available on the same day. No release date is mentioned for PC (Steam) yet. It is also known that her character purchase alone will only include 2 default costumes: the Red one shown above and the same design in Blue. Full screenshots for her debut costumes have been released and added below:
