DOA5 Last Round Shrine Maiden Costumes

This month’s costume pack for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round (DOA5LR) is now available for purchase.

The new pack is called “Shrine Maiden Costumes”. Shrine Maiden, known as “Miko” (巫女) in Japanese, is a type of priestess who is trained to perform tasks such as sacred cleansing and ceremonial dance in rituals. Shrine Maiden characters are also common in other Japanese games and Anime. The DOA5LR character, Momiji, who is originally from Ninja Gaiden, is a Shrine Maiden herself in the game.

These costumes are available for 17 female characters including Naotora Ii, which means excluding other female guest characters Mai Shiranui, Pai Chan and Sarah Bryant, likewise for Alpha-152.

As usual, the release is for PS4/ Xbox One/ PC (Steam). The costumes are again not destructible. Individual costume is priced at US$1.99 (¥206) and the bundle set of all 17 costumes is US$19.49 (¥2099). PC version is only sold in pack and not separately.

This is also the 4th pack included in Season Pass 6 (SP6). Pass owners do not need to buy again.

Next month and the month after (May and June) DLCs are also 17-costume packs. Actual contents and exact release dates are still unknown, but most likely are again all-girl packs with costumes for the same 17 female characters. Stay tuned for further announcements if still interested.

Costume Design Contest

For those unaware, this year there is another Halloween costume design contest, “Designer’s Challenge 2017”, which has started about one month ago on 21 March until 7 May. Details are on the official website. Selected entries will be made into DLC costumes to be released this October.

This also means that there will be more DLCs beyond Season Pass 6, which only includes costumes until June. So there might possibly be a Season Pass 7, unless the Halloween Costumes 2017 is a standalone pack.
