HORI, the famous Japanese arcade stick maker, is going to release the official arcade stick for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round (DOA5LR). Back in September 2012, the same company also released an arcade stick for the original Dead or Alive 5 game.

The release date is 19 February 2015, same day as the DOA5LR release date in Japan. So far the arcade stick is only listed on Amazon Japan website and is only shippable within Japan. No news yet whether HORI will release it for other regions.

The arcade stick is made for Sony PlayStation 4 and backwards compatible with PlayStation 3. No Xbox One version is announced. Below are the listed features:

  • Analog sticks implemented: same function as the L/R analog sticks on a PS4/PS3 controller
  • Touch pad implemented on the back: same function as the touch pad on a PS4 controller
  • Compatible with both PS4 and PS3 by using a toggle switch
  • Button-assigned function: L1, L2, Options (Start) buttons changeable
  • Turbo function: 5/12/20 times per second adjustable
  • Stick-toggle function: Stick directional keys, L and R analog sticks switchable
  • Limited bonus: DOA5LR original costumes download code included

Note: Light Bar, Vibration, Stereo Headphone/Mic Socket, Motion Sensor, Speaker and SIXAXIS functions are not available.

[Updated 25 Dec] Team NINJA has officially revealed the arcade stick on the DOA5LR Japanese website with the same information plus the following specifications:

  • Dimensions (LxWxH): 430 x 270 x 114 mm
  • Weight: Approx. 2.2 kg
  • Connectivity: By Cable (Cable Length: 3 m)

The limited bonus costumes included are the same ones as the “Showstoppers Encore” Pack shown earlier, which is the pre-order bonus outside Japan.
