Another month, another pack of DLC costumes for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round (DOA5LR). As predicted, these releases never seem to end. Last month, contents for Season Pass 3 ended with the release of Samurai Warriors costumes.
This week, Team NINJA follows up with a new Season Pass 4, which includes 78 costumes and 1 new stage. Last month also saw the release of a new stage “Azuchi”, but it was not part of Season Pass 3 because it is free. With the upcoming new stage included in Season Pass 4 means the new stage releasing in July might not be free.
This “Newcomer” costume set is also the first pack from Season Pass 4 and consists of 16 costumes for 5 characters, namely Marie Rose, Phase-4, NyoTengu, Honoka and Naotora Ii. They are female characters added after the release of DOA5 Ultimate, hence the name “Newcomer”.
Most of these costumes, such as the school, sports, police, bedtime costumes, etc, are previously released for other girls. Only the casual ones for Marie Rose, NyoTengu and Honoka are actually new.
As usual, these costumes are available for PS4/ Xbox One/ PC (Steam). Individual costume is priced at US$1.99 (¥206) and the bundle set of all 16 costumes is US$18.99 (¥2000). PC version is only sold in pack, not separately.

Halloween costume-design contest “Designer’s Challenge 2016” has started last week until 16 May 2016. Details are on the official website. Selected entries will be made into DLC costumes this October.
This also indicates that there will be more DLC beyond Season Pass 4, which only includes costumes releasing until July. So there is likely a Season Pass 5, unless the Halloween Costumes 2016 is a standalone pack.
DOA Festival 2016 is also officially announced to be held on 9 July 2016 at Osaki Bright Core Hall in Tokyo, same location as last year. New DOA-related (DOA5LR/DOAX3) developments beyond July will most probably be announced at the festival. So stay tuned.Share this post
