A new costume pack is released for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round (DOA5LR) today on Valentine’s Day. First, we wish everyone who is reading this a Happy Valentine’s Day.
However, this month’s pack, unlike last year’s, has not much to do with Valentine’s Day, instead has more to do with Chinese New Year that happened last month. It is called “Alluring Mandarin Dress”, which the costumes are based on Leifang’s default red Chinese dress. They are modified to be more revealing, hence the word “alluring”. These costumes can also be called “Cheongsam” (长衫) or “Qipao” (旗袍). This pack is known as “Sexy Chinese Dress” in Japan.
These traditional dresses are available for 17 female characters, including the guest character Naotora Ii from Samurai Warriors. As usual, costumes for the remaining female guest characters Mai Shiranui, Pai Chan and Sarah Bryant are not included, likewise for Alpha-152.
These costumes are released for PS4/ Xbox One/ PC (Steam). They are not destructible, same as the last pack. Individual costume is priced at US$1.99 (¥206) and the bundle set of all 17 costumes is US$19.49 (¥2099). PC version is only sold in pack and not separately.
This is also the second pack included in Season Pass 6 (SP6). Pass owners do not need to buy again. The first pack from SP6 is the High Society costume pack released last month.
Next month DLC is a collaboration with Arc System Works, the game company responsible for the popular 2D fighting games “BlazBlue” and “Guilty Gear” series. There will be 16 costumes taken from characters of BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Guilty Gear Xrd: SIGN and the upcoming Guilty Gear Xrd: REV 2, to put on 16 DOA5LR female characters. Actual screenshots and release date will be revealed later.
