Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 (DOAX3) is close to release and the official website has some minor updates – Existent of the Premium Ticket is made known, some information on future new swimsuits and a gameplay trailer of DOAX3 Venus (PS Vita version) is also released, which can be viewed above.
Premium Ticket
In the Owner Shop, there are two ways to buy swimsuits or items. One is to use the in-game currency “Zack Money” and the other is to use “Premium Ticket”.
Zack Money is the virtual currency you can earn by playing the game activities or by winning at the casino. Premium Ticket can only be bought on the PlayStation Store (PS Store) using real cash. In other words, Premium Ticket allows you to buy expensive costumes quickly by spending actual money instead of playing until you earn enough Zack Money.
For example, in the screenshot below, the highlighted schoolgirl costume costs 800,000 Zack Dollars or 16 Premium Tickets. If you don’t have enough Zack Money and cannot wait to get the costume, then your choice is to buy 16 Premium Tickets on the PS Store with real money and use them in the game.
Premium Tickets will be sold in different bundles on the PS Store. The actual price is not known yet. A trial set of 5 Premium Tickets will be given free as first-print bonus.
[Updated 24 Mar] The game is released and Premium Tickets are available as DLC on the Japan and Asia PS Stores. The tickets are sold in bundles of 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 300 and the time-limited 500. The prices in Japanese Yen are listed on the official website here.
Note: DLC sold on Japan PS Store cannot be used on Asian (English) versions of the game and vice versa. Asia PS Stores include Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
New Swimsuits
There are about 260 costumes in the game. After release, new swimsuits will be added to the Owner Shop from time to time. Added swimsuits will be time-limited, that means you have to buy them within a certain period, but what is the period duration is unknown yet. When new swimsuits are added, Team NINJA will make an announcement on the DOAX3 official website and Twitter account @zack_island.
[Updated 19 Mar] In this interview (in Japanese) from Dengeki Online, it is known that some swimsuits releasing in the future will be paid DLC, as in, you cannot use Zack Money to buy them, only Premium Tickets, which cost real money.
Hayashi producer also said they might consider listening to players’ voice of adding more characters but the priority now is to add more swimsuits after the game is released.
